Family owned venture since 1994
Nicholas Duvivier first began fishing with his father, who now has 30 years of experience.
His father introduced him to different fishing techniques on smaller boats, and in December 1994, they built Horizon for charters.
Horizon is run as a family business, and the Duvivier family continues to welcome guests on board, many of whom return year after year.
Extensive deep sea fishing
Set out from Mauritius’ pristine coastline aboard Capt. Nicholas’ newly restored 42’ D’unienville cabin cruiser, perfectly equipped for deep sea fishing. Thanks to the island’s steep continental shelf, prime fishing grounds are easily reached, offering chances to land trophy fish within minutes.
The boat features three fighting chairs, twin 220HP Cummins engines, full navigation and safety systems, plus comforts like a fly deck, kitchenette, shower, toilet, and spacious cabin.
Top-quality gear includes 9 Fenwick rods with Penn International reels and a downrigger. Trips usually involve trolling for Marlin, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Shark, Barracuda, and more. Peak season runs November to April, though excellent fishing is available year-round.
